Hunting Club

Connor belongs to a hunting club

So far he has only gone fishing there, but in a single trip he was able to reel in 12 fish! I have only caught 1 fish in my life. And it was this bugger:
Look very carefully, there IS a fish at the end of that line there. I didn't even catch that fish fairly. I saw him swimming about in the shallows and harassed the poor thing with my hook and worm until it agreed to be my prize. Terrible..

Anyway, we pull into this hunting club area and we are immediately immersed into an overgrown forest of wildlife.

As we drive through deeper and deeper, I notice all these abandoned vehicles that have been reclaimed by the land. Connor explained to me that the hunting grounds were formally farmland that belonged to someone who couldn't keep up with the land and expenses. In the end, everything got left behind.

Since we specifically went to go fishing, we continued past the hunting grounds straight to the "pond".

It was very pretty. We were able to load into our kayaks and cast a few lines into the water. Unbelievably enough, it began to downpour on us about thirty minutes after being out. With no sign of it stopping any time soon, we just decided to head back completely soaked and fishless. Maybe I'll catch my first big one next time...

It was a fun adventure though, and I'm happy to have gone.
